Zodiac Tank Container Terminals adopts environmentally friendly technologies

Towards our initiative to promote Clean & Green environment, Zodiac Tank Container Terminals has been at the forefront in adopting environmentally friendly technologies to safeguard nature, climate and communities.

During 2022, we successfully commissioned a 150kWp rooftop solar power generation plant at our Khalapur facility. This initiative is first of its kind in the ISO Tank Container and Road Tanker Cleaning & Repair facility in India.

Our facility is now fully operational and entirely run-on solar power.

This recognition by our partner OORJA SOLAR is a testimony towards our commitment to promote a cleaner environment and inspire communities to adopt similar methods.

Zodiac Tank Container Terminals is an ISO 14001:2015 certified company and promotes and imbibes best practices in the environment.

Zodiac Tank Container Terminals commences Road Tanker cleaning operations bringing in new dimension to environmental protection.

Zodiac Tank Container Terminals (A Samsara Group Company), one of the most modern ISO Tank Container Cleaning and Repairs facility providing services of international standards, has now also commenced Road Tanker Cleaning at its Facility both for Chemical as well as Food grade commodity using fully automated German technology from globally renowned manufacturer “Weidner”.

Road Tanker Cleaning in MPCB (Maharashtra Pollution Control Board) approved Facility gives a New dimension to Environmental Protection initiatives in India, which desired by most globally reputed Chemical manufacturers & Logistic Service providers, having regulatory compliance & commitment towards environment protection as their key objective.

Zodiac offers cleaning and repairs / maintenance/ storage of ISO Tank Containers. The facility has developed dedicated Bays for ISO tank Containers as well as Road Tankers & additionally Chemical & Food grade commodities are cleaned in absolutely in independent dedicated bays.


The Road Tanker Cleaning Bay at Zodiac facility is designed basis 'Drive Through Model' which helps in improving the overall turnaround time and reduces the waiting time for the customers.


Fully automated cleaning plant through German Technology manufactured by Weidner, provides a highly sophisticated integrated cleaning solution along with Heavy Duty Scrubber Unit (removing toxic gasses & smell / Odour of previous cargo) as well Hot water cleaning at 80 °C and Steam treatment generated up to 160 °C.

Since commencement of Operations during March 2021, so far more than 100 Hazardous & Non-hazardous Chemical commodities in ISO Tank Containers have been successfully cleaned at Zodiac in addition 15 various types of Food Grade commodities in Road Tankers (Vegetable Oil, Palm Oil, Cashew Oil, Sunflower Oil etc). Zodiac Tank Container Terminals Pvt Ltd was inaugurated on Tuesday 16th February 2021 with Puja Ceremony amidst COVID protocols attended by key members from Samsara Group.

Mr Mukesh Oza said this facility gives another opportunity for Samsara Group to serve the trade & only depot in India with Dedicated Bays for cleaning of Food Grade Cargoes & Drive through arrangements for Road Tankers which will give another dimension to the cleaning standards , safeguarding the environment against current practices.

Zodiac Tank Container Depot located near Nhava Sheva/ JNPT port has excellent road connectivity through Old Mumbai Pune highway as well as New Mumbai - Pune Expressway (near Khalapur Toll Plaza) about 55 kms from JNPT .


The Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) adopts latest technology to achieve zero liquid discharge, the facility is Fully compliant with all applicable statutory regulations including Maharashtra Pollution Control Board.


Zodiac offers Online tracking facility for Customers to monitor / track status of their tank inventory , operating from anywhere in the world

The Terminal facility is fully covered with 24 x 7 CCTV surveillance system & manned security.
